Glo with Haley

Meet Haley

Haley Kuhnert is a Du Quoin native and Ole Miss alumna. Her journey started in September 2024 when Haley reached out to her OBGYN with symptoms she knew weren't right. Her concerns were largely dismissed, but she didn't give up.

By February 2025, she pushed for an appointment and an ultrasound. That scan revealed unexpected fluid in her peritoneal cavity. Her doctor suspected a ruptured cyst and scheduled a two-week follow-up. At that appointment, the fluid was still there — and something near her ovaries caught the doctor's attention.
What followed was months of uncertainty: a CT scan, a third ultrasound, blood work with slightly elevated markers, and an MRI. Every result was inconclusive, every answer just out of reach. In May 2025, she saw a St. Louis oncologist. Five days later, she got the call to schedule a diagnostic laparoscopy — a surgical biopsy, set for June 10th.

That turned out to be the hardest day of her life.

When Haley woke up from surgery, her mom Kristie was by her side. And it was Kristie who told her the word no one wants to hear.
It was cancer.

Haley's treatment moved quickly from there. On August 15, 2025, she underwent a full hysterectomy — a surgery that kept her hospitalized for ten days.

On March 16, 2026, Haley was declared cancer free.
Through every dismissed symptom, every inconclusive scan, and every waiting room, Haley showed up for herself. Now she's showing up for others.

If she could give anyone one piece of advice, it's this: advocate for yourself — fully, loudly, and without apology. Your instincts about your own body matter. Keep pushing until someone listens.
